Launching a hang glider can be tricky. Here I am talking to the Tooele Magazine photographer about the thermal cycles. We want to make sure all of the pilots launching today can get off of the mountain safely and get into the air for a fun filled afternoon!

My friend Greg Bottelberghe invited me here for the photo shoot. You can see him in the photo insert. Look at the wind streamer at the top of launch. (Behind my keel.) This is a “no wind” be very aggressive effort to launch safely. My flight deck is on the left down tube.

Back in my younger days … I slept – drank – thought about – lived every moment thinking about how to be the fastest rider on a motocross track. It was a lot of work, but so many great times to be remembered. I’m grateful that I survived the challenges.

Who’s brighter … yellow me or the yellow tree(s)? Here I am on a hike with a friend of mine to show him where there is a rattlesnake den. It’s Fall and time for the colors to change.
